What are adventure walks?

Adventure walks are small, carefully matched groups of dogs walked together in safe, enriching environments around Cramlington and nearby countryside.

They’re perfect for dogs who:

  • Enjoy socialising
  • Have good recall (or are working towards it)
  • Need more stimulation than a solo walk

What’s included?

Group walks are perfect for sociable dogs who love to explore and make new friends.

  • Small groups of 2–6 dogs to ensure safety and enjoyment
  • Carefully matched dogs for harmonious play
  • 60 mins exciting walk with total time out the house around 1.5-2hrs with pickup/drop off
  • Off-lead adventures available for dogs with reliable recall
  • Flexible pickup times: AM (09:00–11:00), Midday (11:00–13:00), PM (13:00–15:00)
  • GPS of the route shared after the walk so you know where and how far they have been

GPS tracked walks

Every walk is tracked using GPS, so you’ll receive:

  • A map of your dog’s walk
  • Distance covered
  • Time out walking

This gives full transparency and peace of mind. I specialise in high energy and working breeds, and you can be sure they get proper exercise, every time.

Half & full day adventure dog walks

For high-energy or sociable dogs who need more exercise and attention, Northumberland Paws offer extended adventure walks:

  • Half-day adventure: 2 group walks (AM or Midday pick up time), 3–4 hours out
  • Full-day adventure: 3 group walks, 6+ hours out
  • Bespoke adventure: Pick a location in Northumberland or the Lake District for your dog to enjoy a full day hiking adventure!
  • Plenty of rest between walks to prevent over-tiring
  • Perfect for dogs who may become destructive if left home alone, as a birthday treat for your dog, or for those who want to regularly give their dog the best care possible!

Hi, I’m Jade — founder of Northumberland Paws, a professional dog walker and cat sitter based in Cramlington.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I now share my home with my Border Collie, Mouse, and my cats — I understand just how different every pet can be, from high-energy, intelligent dogs to more independent, laid-back personalities. I created Northumberland Paws to provide the kind of care I’d want for my own animals — safe, structured, and genuinely enriching, not just a quick walk around the block.

Alongside hands-on experience, I hold a degree in Biology from Newcastle University, including studying companion animal behaviour, which helps me better understand how dogs think, learn and interact. Before starting Northumberland Paws, I served as a police officer for six years — something that shaped my calm, reliable and safety-first approach to every walk.
