Hi, I’m Jade — founder of Northumberland Paws, a professional dog walker and cat sitter based in Cramlington.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life – I share my home with my Border Collie ‘Mouse’, and my cats. I understand just how different every pet can be, from high-energy, intelligent dogs to more independent, laid-back personalities. I created Northumberland Paws to provide the kind of care I’d want for my own animals – safe, structured, and genuinely enriching, not just a quick walk around the block.

Alongside hands-on experience, I hold a degree in Biology from Newcastle University, including studying companion animal behaviour, which helps me better understand how dogs think, learn and interact. Before starting Northumberland Paws, I served as a police officer for six years, something that shaped my calm, reliable and safety-first approach to every walk.
